The Great Barrier Thingy is an integral part of Bowden's Own Safe Wash System, made up of their 3 dedicated 15-litre wash buckets for Wash, Rinse, and Wheels. The Great Barrier Thingy fits the easily identifiable buckets for washing and rinsing to dramatically reduce the chance of any grit and grime from scratching your car. Dirt and sediment settle in the bucket under the grit guard, meaning it doesn't get picked up by your sponge or wash mitt when you rinse.
